Use Voice Search In Google Now on ICS Devices
Google introduced jelly bean software update for android some time ago. It also introduced Google Now as a competitor to Apple’s Siri in voice search. People earlier thought that it would be named Mabel but it became Google Now.
Google Now was ported to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Devices forom the XDA-Developer forums. This was a very good news for Android 4.0 Ice Cream Devices. At this port Android 4.0 Ice Cream Devices missed a feature. They could not use the voice type i.e. text to speech by Google. Through a simple trick we can use it on these devices.
For this trick to work you need :-
- Rooted Android Phone with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich installed
- Access to Google Play Store or Android Market
Steps to Use Voice Search In Google Now on ICS Devices
- Download GO Keyboard from Google Play Store or Android Market
- Enable GO Keyboard from the app from the instructions give on app
- Open Google Now with GO Keyboard Enabled.
- Press a Small “Go” and then click on Voice Input like the Image Below
- A Speak Now window will open like the one below and you can easily Speak on that. This is not as good as it is on Ice Cream Sandwich rather than on Jelly Bean
